Is this normal after losing virginity?

I lost my virginity to my boyfriend of three years yesterday. I'm seventeen, and we used a condom for protection. This morning I woke up feeling VERY sore in my upper thighs. I expected that. But now my stomach is cramping badly; almost as if I'm experiencing a period. My period is not due to show up until about two weeks from now. Are these cramps normal to have?
