Should I pre-order the playstation 4? I never pre-ordered anything in my life before?

Should I preorder it or not. I'm 100% gonna get it when it comes out but I was thinking since so MANY people are pre-ordering it, will it be available the day it comes out or I don't know. Are there any benefits of preordering it now rather than buying it when it comes out.
