i dont like wearing foudation and coverup, is there anything i could use instead?

i hate the cakey feeling of foundation, it always makes my skin break out and feeling sweaty.. not a pleasent thing. i dont mind cover up & bronzer / powdered makeup(or whatever) because its not thick and doesnt feel like youre painting your face. my question is, is there any product out there that can get me an even skin tone and have the same effects as foundation..other than foundation? i have very fair skin, so any tips would be great :)
