Is it a good thing that he still texted me even after we met...!?!?

Okay sooo I met this guy online and YES we did meet at the mall,at a public place,YES my mom was sitting in the car too lol.im 18 and hes 23. Anyways,we have been flirting too soo lol. We met eachother on Friday night walked around a little and talked and when we were bout to leave he hugged me :3 and then when I got home he texted me "your cute" and then we just started talking after that. Then last night he texted me too.. Is this a good thing...? Or dont get my hopes up..
