Is the Ironman 70.3 still considered "worthy" in the eyes of full Ironman athletes?

I am signing up for a half Ironman with a friend in a couple days (the race is in June) and I am just curious as to whether full Ironman athletes still consider the half an accomplishment? She and I have run half and full marathons and we both bike regularly and we grew up on swim team (through college, too). We figure since we do all 3 events, why not put them together? Thanks!
