how to copy files from dvd drive in my hard disk.?

iam using windows 8 and whenever i try to copy files from my dvd or cd it copies only 30mb or 16mb.it does not copy full dvd.when i start copying it copies 5mbps but after a few seconds it goes to 0bytes per second.so how to fix this please help me.
