Girl advice. I'm awkward?

Lately when I talk to my crush, whether or not I'm talking straight to her or texting her, I keep saying or doing awkward stuff. I just did it again by asking her why she hasn't been texting me lately, I asked it in kind of in awkward way. She replied with. "Sorry, I just haven't had the time, I'm busy with work and school". Now I feel like a douche, I want to say sorry, but I don't know how. I started typing this, but I don't know if this is right to say. "Oh...That's true. Now I do feel kinda bad..... Sorry for that. And for being awkward.". The thing is, I don't know whether or not I should mention being awkward or not. I need some help, I've never really texted a girl before. I don't want to keep being awkward. I don't want her to hate me, I need advice. PLEASE HELP
