guys how would u react to this if you were into the girl??? Please help its my first long term bf break up?

why ex has been pretty much actlng like my boyfriend again for about a month now. (we dated 2 years lived together then 4 months no contact before this). Last night i asked him about it bc we had 3 times hanging together had slept together he's texting everyday for hrs saying goodnight every night. When i asked him he said i wasnt a friend with benefits, and i wasn't like a stand in while he found girlfriend he wasn't dating anyone since we broke up. He said he doesn't know how he feels right now and which way things will go. Now we've talked everyday for a month and hung out 3 times made plan for a 4th but fell through so woudln't he have an idea what he wants??? So today after the talk last night i woke up and he texted me just small talk but i realized i am falling for him and can't just be friends right now so i ask him to not contact me for a couple days while i dealt with my more then friendly feeling that have come up again towards him . If he was into me or even kinda into me that would wake him up right and he'd do something? The fact he hasn't said anything shows i'm just a friend to him even with all the contact.
