Is contract killing a sin?

Think about it. The sin, is to murder. not to kill. Killing - Taking the life of something out of any form of defense. Or for survival reasons. Murder - To take the life of something or someone for fun or satisfaction. Contract killing - taking the life of someone for money. Money is an incredible tool for survival. So, is it still a sin?
