Poll: Has society lost it's originality?

I'm absolutely confused about most of the people of today. You see those people who mainly listen to rock music, they say they hate posers and rap or R&B music makes them want to puke yet they dress & behave like gangsters. I may be coming off as "stereotyping" or "categorizing" or whatever you wanna put it but I just don't get it. 7 years ago, these people said they hate gangsters but if you look at them, they technically ARE gangsters. The fashion is fake, dupstep is just really heavy dance music which has been around for years. And what's with the mullet & flannel shirt thing? Most people say they really hate country music but they are dressing like the original common country men. Do you think society of today has lost it's originality? What do you think?
