Older men and trophies?

I met a guy that was 35 wen i was 18. We are the same culture and religion so we met through mutual friends. We went out about 3 times and I found out he's extremely rich (drives a Porsche tilde me i could buy whatever I wanted) i liked him and didn't use him for his money but my friends thought I was. They told me he wants to use me and show people he can get a younger girl?? He still talks to me. Was he trying to use me? We never had any more physical contact than holding hands
