My parakeets won't feed their babies?

Yesterday my grandma gave me the parents, two eggs, and a bird that hatched yesterday. When I was at my grandma's house, the parents were being active and going into the nexting box. Since we got home with the birds, the parents haven't gone in there at all. The baby keeps peeping and I think it's hungry. Why have the parents abandoned the nest? What should I do?
