In the play Romeo and Juliet, how did Romeo and Juliet rebel against the church?

I'm writing an essay on Romeo and Juliet's rebellion on their families, the church and the state. Could you please give me a couple examples for how they rebelled against the church? You could also anything else on the other topics too if you want but i need the church one. Thanks in advance =)
