My phone has been really stubborn & I would like to know how to fix it .?

My phone has been really stubborn & I would like to know how to fix it . I would charge my phone overnight & when I'd qake up in the morning , it would be discharged so I'd have to charge it when I wake up & only little battery is there when I leave for school . I've tried uninstalling many apps (music , games , photos , videos etc ) but my battery is still being stupid . Is it best if I get a new phone ? Also , when I first purchased the phone (LG MOTION, METROPCS) I was already using it before charging it is this the reason why ?
