In your opinion, should I get the Xbox One or Playstation 4?

I have always since a young age been a Playstation man, then a few years back I got a Xbox 360 along with the Playstation 3. I didn't really play the Playstation 3 due to all my friends being Xbox 360 guys. Now I'm unsure what to get, the views of others is that the Xbox One is not going to be all that good due to not being able to play Pre Owned games without being charged and always having to be online. Not sure. Please give your opinion, much appreciated,
