I asked a guy out but I like his best friend?

I've been having trouble deciding which one to ask for a long time because I just liked only these guys. I asked this guy because i knew him a little more than his best friend. We've hung out a few times already, he's cool but I don't think he is my type. should I a) wait a little or while more until I meet his best friend again (because I have no contact with him) b) say it now (everything I just said up there^^^) c) say it now or wait but make up an excuse such as I went to ask him first because i knew him better and that it would be weird to ask his best friend first or d) ???
