What is the best shipping way to avoid paying importing taxes / importing duties?

I'm in Czech Republic I want to buy a phone from China, the price is around $400 But I don't want to top that with more money for duties.. I've heard that you can get around that by choosing to have your purchase shipped as a gift.. And also I've heard that using EMS will lead to the same result Any advice guys please?
