Best pads for a young teen on her period?

i JUST started my period, and I want to know whats the best kind of pad? I really don't wanna use tampons.. wings or no wings? long? short? thin? thick? I don't know how heavy my flow is.. I don't know how heavy it will get.. At what about at night?? do I need different ones for at night?? thankyou to anyone who answers, I just need some advise right now.. :(
