Do protein shakes help me bulk up?

Im 15 and 5ft 11. I am 130lbs im just got a home workout set and I want to bulk up. My question is will protein shakes help me bulk up. And like what do they do like will it give me mkre fat on my chest and stomach. Do you recommend protein shakes and will it speed up my results. Thanks
