Question #10000214

What were your initial thoughts on the Iraq War?

In light of what is going on in Syria and all this talk about intervention (which ultimately, though wrong I might be, may turn out to be nothing), I would like to take it back to 2003. I was fairly young but I remember the day and months leading up to the day of the war. What were some of your initial thoughts in the period shortly leading up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003 to the actual entrance into the nation, and did your opinion change after a while? So, in other words, if you supported entering, how long was it until you changed your mind and why (if you did). And on the converse (though this case is rare) if you were not for going in, did you later change your mind and support the war and why?
