Whta's wrong with my jaw?

For the last year or so my jaw has starting to crack, it's only when I move it side to side though, so not when I talk. I've been doing a little bit of research and was wondering about "loose jaw", but it only said it starts around 30years of age, I'm 16. I thought it may be hereditary because it happens to my uncle, yet still a little unsure.
