xbox 360 hard drive formated as a flash drive?

my brother tryed to transfer data from a hard drive into a new one using an official xbox transfer cable but he reformated it and basically changed it into a flash drive so now the hard drive changed from a 120gb to 32 gb im wondering if there is a way i can plug the hard drive into my computer and reformat it back int an original xbox 360 120gb hard drive ive tryed getting a hold of xbox support but all theybasicallyy told me was to buy a new one
