Question #10000259

If a 16 year old is arrested are the cops required to read them their rights?

A little over a year ago I was arrested (Note I did not commit a crime the charges were dropped after 3 months of living in a group home) never once between the moment the police arrived to the moment I left police custody was I read my rights or even told what I was being charged with. Is this legal? I know people under the age of 18 do not always have the same rights as those over 18.
