How would a young adult go about moving out of their hometown?

Like another state. I'm 19 so I'm in school so I could transfer to another school but there's more to it then that. I live in Michigan so the economy is no good. I don't see how I can reach my goals in life here and there's nothin here for me anyways. It's my time for a new fresh start. I'm going to school for graphic design and business as of now. My goals for myself involves having quite a bit of money to play around with and staying here I truly don't believe I could meet my dreams. What do I do to get out of here and to some place WARM too :) I need to get out of this place. For example a plastic surgent in LA probably makes a much much higher number then one here.
