How to make music sound professional?

I'm starting artist, I record myself singing and rapping. I record it home, i've got good software for it, and even good microphone. Bud when I play it, it just song weak and unprofessional. Not the singing, but the whole song sounds strange. Can you recommend some software, or other tips, to make it sound better? Sorry for bad english im not from eng speaking country.
