why is it so improbable that the UN deal with syria? they had no problem coming together agaisnt lybia?

and gadaffi surrendered his wmd's so there was little to no defence. when did he surrender his wmd?? well, it wasn't wildly reported by the media but it was after america destroyed saddam's regime...mistake or not it scared gadafi straight. america, we don't live over there. all of our stupid so called allies do....let's let them handle syria.
