Sore rib during pregnancy?

I'm 18weeks pregnant and have started getting pains on the left side of my ribs just under my breast. The pain wont go away and its just bugging me because im not getting any sleep through out the night or day.. Its continuos pulling/sharp pains. Is this normal, and is there anything i can do about it?
