Could my house be haunted?

A few nights ago my mother and I were woken up at 3 am to a loud thud. A heavy ornament had fallen off a shelf onto the floor. This ornament has been sitting on the shelf for years without issue and all of sudden falls for no reason? Also it is very heavy so should have fallen straight down, instead we found it in the middle room!! Then a couple of nights later things get weirder. I wasn't in but my mum states that the front door bell rang at 4 am and when she went downstairs there was no-one there. It's like something out of a movie! Quite convinced I'm haunted but wanted verification from you guys? Should I get out of the house before this ghoul gets violent?
