I'm scared to death of homecoming, what do I do?

So there's this guy I really like & I've been talking to a ton for the past couple of weeks. He asked me to go to homecoming & I said yes. We are going to dinner with our (mostly his) friends. I've never gone to homecoming with a date more or less been on a real date. I'm freaking out! How do I avoid awkwardness & I am so bad at homecoming. Just please help, I really like him! Thank you! :)
