Is Canada a good place to live in?

Is it boring country? Good job opportunities and stuff.. I´m gonna learn there soon, so I´m mostly interested in cities Ottawa, Montréal, Quebec and Toronto. I´ll be learning in Ottawa. How´s life going there? Is it expensive place to live in?
