trying to get a second chance with this girl!?

So i met a girl online that I shared alot of similar interests with and we met in person for the first time on wednesday. Long story short I was a little nervous and not being myself (I hadnt gone on a first date since high school) so I walked her to her car and said goodbye and she went in for a hug and I completely choked and just kinda walked away. As soon as I got home I texted her "I hope I wasnt too awkward at the end there, but I had fun:p". I didnt get a response, so yesterday I texted her in the afternoon " How did book shopping go with sean? LOL". (sean is her best friend). Also no response. So I want to take advice I was given on here and tell her I wasnt being myself and see if she will go out with me again, but should I try calling to ask her? Or should I text this "Hey wednesday I was really being myself, and I know I can do better. Id like to get to know you more. Lets go out again this weekend so I can try again?". I really like this girl and can see having a meaningful relationship with her If I could see her again. Can anyone give me any helpful hints? Thanks!
