Kinda ashamed to go to the dentis?

Once I get my health care takin care of I want to see a dentis. I've never been to one before and I no my teath are not the best. I'm only 18 and I fell like my teath are horrible. when I was younger I had some stomach problems that weren't under control and I was always throwing up. It took its toll on my teath, I no I need to go but I'm kinda inbarresed about my teath,, I'm worried that the dentis is going to put me down for my teath, now that I'm 18 I'm starting to take control if everything my parents didn't do,, Any time to make the best of the dentis visit??
