How much money did Canada gained or spent during World War 1?

I have a project where I have to talk about what people at home (in Canada) were doing to support the war effort and my topic is about paying for the war ( like how much money spent or earned during the war) but I cant find any type of information on that topic anywhere. Does anybody know how much money was spent or earned during the war? By the way, just to clarify, Im talking about WORLD WAR 1 and CANADA. So it would be great if you didnt give me info on world war 2 or any other country Thanks in advance
