Question #10700388

Did you ever adopt a pet under false promises?

When I adopted my dog as a puppy, I was told that he was a miniature shepherd mix, and he would never weigh more than 25 pounds at the most. It quickly became apparent that this wasn't true, as he weighed 40 pounds quickly, though that's where he stopped growing. He is a little chubby, but not obese; I think his ideal weight might be more along the 35 lb. range. I love my dog very much and wouldn't give him up for anything. I've now had him for three years and you couldn't ask for a better nature in a dog. He is a little hard to handle, though, as far as bathing is concerned, at my age and in my health. But I would not have taken him if I knew how big he was going to get.
