Windows 8 battery life compared to win 7?

Details! Details! Details! xD Thinking about putting it on my laptop. Any advantages over win 7 except faster start up and shutdown? I'm bored with win 7. If there's nothing bad about win 8 i'll install it. If battery life is an issue i might change my mind ;c PS: lappy is HP probook 4530s, it has switchable graphics
