Someone help with interpreting social studies sources!!?

I have to write a paper on one of the sources given, but i am having trouble interpreting them! The question that i have to answer is To what extent should we embrace the perspective of nationalism expressed in the source. Here are the 3 sources i can chose from, I can only write on 1 of them. - "I love my country not my government" - "A good nationalism has to depend on a principle of the common people, in myths of a struggling commonality" - "I have observed that the prosperity or misery of each people is in direct proportion to its liberties or prejudices and accordingly, to the sacrifices or selfishness of its forefathers". Can someone please help me interpret these sources!!!
