Question #10900223
How do I do this probability proof?
Suppose that X is a discrete random variable on k = 0; 1; 2; .... with P(X = k) = pk. Prove that summation of k from 0 to infinity of P(X >k) = E(X). (Hint: Write P(X > k) as a sum and then (carefully) change the order of summation.)
