Repotting spearmint on the blazing arizona?

Hi. I bought a little pot of spearmint on the summer. Since arizona is really hot in that time, I put it inside on the window pane every afternoon. I want it to grow big so I'm thinking of putting the plant in a bigger pot which cannot fit on the window pane. But I'm not sure if the mint can withstand the summer heat next year. Should I repot the plant?
