Question #10950334

Am I able to solder an HDMI port to my motherboard if it has a spot for it?

This may be confusing to some people, but I will explain it the best I can. So, what I am trying to do is actually SOLDER an HDMI port to my motherboard itself. It is a laptop, so I cannot add expansions, but I am willing to try doing this. On the motherboard itself, next to the vga port, there is a little spot with the outline of an HDMI port and it even says "HDMI Jack" word for word although there is nothing there. I feel as if this would work, but I just want to know if anyone else has done this and if you would recommend this. I don't know the exact motherboard model or brand, but I do know that I have a Toshiba Satellite L455-S5975 and an "Intel Graphics 4 Series Chipset Family" graphics card built in. Thank you in advance! :) -David
