My clutch pedal lost it's tension and hit the floor while engaging it to stop at a street light.?
I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado, 5 speed, V6 Vortec. I was slowing down at a street light and when I was engaging the clutch it slipped, popped, or just flat out lost tension. When I reached down to feel the pedal it was loose, and could move back and forth freely. I popped the hood while my friend moved the pedal back and forth and I could see where something had come loose in the back right corner of the engine compartment. It looks like it might have been a wire of some sort. Help! I dont know too much about cars, but hoping that I can fix this myself for cheap! Does anyone know what happened exactly and if its an easy repair???
