Good brownie recipes?

I want to try to making a batch or two of brownies from scratch. I've seen sooo many recipes online, but I can't choose! Is there one that you would recommend and some tips when baking it? I also wonder if you could include one that does not have nuts, because I want to make some for my friends. A chewy-gooey recipe please!
