How can i be less shy around my boyfriend?

Okay so I am in a interracial relationship with a sweet/amazing guy but i'm like super shy. Before we started dating we were friends and always talked but now it's kinda weird..like we say we are dating but we don't act like it sometimes. He is leaving in December and we can't really communicate outside of school cause his mom took his phone sooo i really need to be more talkative around him because, i don't want to bore him or make him breakup with me because i'm shy.......can anybody help? :)
