windows vista high ram usage?

so today i seen my ram was running at about 30% at idle so i scaned for viruses and checked my task manager, and checked back a few min ago and it was still high so i started to research my problem and well got a blue screen about 4min into it. i have an amd 6300fx with 8gb hyperx ram running windows vista home premium
