How to care for a six week old kitten?

We took in a kitten from a nice woman who found them in a box on the side of the road, and therefore didn't have any control on weaning it from its mother. How do we care for it properly, litter box train it etc. without having major behavioral issues? She is a female, and does bite occasionally but seems to be very loving.
