Facebook Blocked or not?

Not showing up in chat and cannot message them. But their profile and picture shows up in search bar, but when I click on it it says the page is unavailable or may be removed. There were these two other people where the EXACT same thing happened and I thought I was blocked. But it was some kind of temporary ban and I could go back to their page and they were listed as my friend again after a while. I am not sure if the same thing is happening. Also, when I was blocked in the past their profile wouldn't show up in search bar, but this time it does...
