Why my voice can't go high pitch.?

Okay so I'm 19 and last week I was vomiting non-stop on the weekend. Then when I woke up I couldn't make my voice go high pitch anymore. My voice has broken, it's already deep and before I woke up I could make it go high, but not to high obviously. But yeah now every time I try, I can't do it and it feels like something is caught in my throat every time I try. Also I'v had a kinda sore throat ever since I vomited last week. So maybe it's just my sore throat?
