please help! why doesnt he tell me if he wants me or not?

I broke up with this guy 2 weeks ago. We were dating for two months but he didnt ask me to be his girlfriend.   Two days after, I told him it was a mistake and told him how much i want him back. I asked to meet up with him and he said he was busy and couldnt. So he said we will make arrangements to meet up, but has never really brought it up afterwards. he said he wants some time off, so i let him be. He messaged me a week after asking how I was doing and i told him i was good and i did not talk about us. He started answering me with just one word answers.He msgs me, and then just talks so mean and critical to everything that I say. As if I annoy him. I feel like im annoying him, yet he msgs me and does act as if he is annoyed of talking to me.Why does he do that?  What do I do? Do I msg him about how much it bothers me? Do I call? He hasnt even asked me to meet up and fix this!
