My boyfriend doesn't like my hair extensions yet they make me feel better?

My boyfriend says my clip on extensions make me look worse, not better. He says they don't look good in the back, that the color doesn't match my real hair and that they make me look trashy. Yet, my real hair is too thin I feel and doesn't grow fast enough and I feel I look better with them as they add instant volume and length. And my hairstylist said I look beautiful with them and I have gotten some other compliments. I just wish my boyfriend liked them more.
