Helping ball python shed?

My ball python has been having shedding problems for almost a year now, when ever she sheds she leaves loads of it on her head and upper body, its not full skin but like loads of patches, and the caps on her eyes, I know your not meant to remove them by hand so I won't do that dont worry, I've tried basking her in some warm water, sometimes with paper towels , and that doesn't really help, her cage temp is perfectly fine she loves her heat man, when I brought her as a baby the owner said she didn't eat her food like a normal snake and it was hard for her to eat and she didn't know how to shed properly either, I taught her to eat properly like a 1year on now, but she still has shedding problems, any help?
