Question #11750171

Will depression stop me from joining the military?

I'm 17 and i want to join the marines next year and when i was going through the qualifications and it states "no history of mental illness". I was diagnosed with depression when i was 12 or 13 had it uptill i was 14 . I went to a therapist and was diagnosed with social anxiety aswell. I was NEVER put on medication.. i only went to a therapist 2 or 3 times. Does this automatically disqualify me? Does this also DQ me for marine scout sniper school too? Is it possible to get a medical waiver for this? thanksa
